Students Accomodation - Dormitories
Female students who come from cities outside Erbil, may reside at the comfortable student dormitory
facilities. Male students will soon have the opportunity to use their own separate living facilities.

Dining
Two restaurants and one cafeteria serve the needs of students and faculty on a daily basis.
Students enjoy a variety of foods, snacks, healthy fresh juices and coffees.

Sports & Entertainment
Cihan University facilities include a Roman-style open theater, a gymnasium and space for organizing
events and celebrations.

Library
The Cihan University library provides the ideal place for conducting academic research and regular
studying; it contains more than 5000 volumes, computers and a spacious modern study room.

Bookstore
Books, notebooks, school supplies, photocopying, binding, souvenirs and other materials are provided at the
university’s bookstore. In selected fields, Cihan University provides its own publications.

Computer Labs and Classrooms
Fully equipped computer labs operate in most of the buildings. Students of each department are
assigned to use specified computer labs. Computing skills has been a required course for all majors
at Cihan University. More than 65 classrooms and 15 labs operate at Cihan University on a daily basis.

The VIP Hall
The VIP Hall is the university’s formal hall for presentations. Well-equipped and spacious, the Hall
has become the ideal place for conferences and significant meetings.

Green Areas
Students may relax walking around the wonderful gardens and green open areas of the campus; the unique
gazebos are attractive spaces to enjoy the warm and sunny days in campus.

Parking
Parking space is currently available to faculty members. In the near future, students may use the
expanded parking lot of the university.
