In its 45th session held in the campus of Sidi Mohamed Bin Abdellah University in Fes, Morocco, AARU announces Cihan University as an active member of the union. 
CU, represented by Dr. Amjad S. Dalaw (President), has been an associate member of AARU since March 2011 until the official announcement in March 2012 that included CU as an active member.
AARU also announced that 2013 session will be held in the campus of Salahaddin University, Kurdistan - Iraq.
