FOUNDATION OF THE COLLEGE

Cihan University has been established in 2007 by the decision No. 325 of the Kurdistan Region Council of Ministers under the Kurdistan National Assembly (the parliament) Act No. 33 of 2004, also by the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 192/N/W in 30/11/2006.

Cihan University is a private school that is founded by Cihan Company for Academic Investments, Ltd. (Cihan Group). The University is the first academic institution in Kurdistan Region that belongs to the private sector.

• Preparing graduates in different academic fields that are offered in the University.
• Participating in the technological and scientific progress of the region.
• Providing the social and economic sectors with qualified staff.
• Activating the role of research and scientific discoveries in the economic and social sectors.

• Teaching, developing and spreading the culture of preserving nature.
